Due Diligence – Data Protection and Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) in the Europe-India Business Corridor

The latest trends indicate that the European and Indian startups are disrupting way ahead of the conventional industry by seizing the opportunities and innovating across sectors. As we witness a large number of startups focused on cutting-edge technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and the Internet of Things, it is evident that they face challenges related to data protection and intellectual property rights (IPR) in the EU and India

Therefore, GINSEP and the European Business and Technology Center (EBTC) in association with the India IP SME Helpdesk and Boehmert & Boehmert have come together to inform the European and Indian SMEs and startups about aspects of the Global Data Protection Rights (GDPR), new Indian Data protection as well as on differences in laws governing IPRs which European and Indian startups have to take into consideration when operating in the European-Indian business corridor.

The programme and our speakers:

✅ Welcome Remarks: Ankita Tyagi (EBTC) & Julian Zix (GINSEP)

✅ Difference between IPR laws in the EU and India: Hana Onderkova (India IP SME Helpdesk)

✅ Patents from EU Perspective: Dr. Daniel Herrmann (Boehmert & Boehmert)
