Women Startups: Breaking the Glass Ceiling

In the startup scene both, female and male founders are awarded with their high level of education. Usually they have a wide range of knowledge in the economic, technical and digital fields, and thus provide important success factors for innovation and growth. Despite all this, the startup scene is still a male-dominated area with relatively few women founders so far, which is characterized by noticeable gender-specific differences.

• But why is it that women so rarely gain a foothold in the startup scene? 
• How can women overcome the biggest hurdles?
• How can the potential of women be promoted in order to strengthen diversity in the startup scene?

The panel discussion with Indian and German female entrepreneurs organized by the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom, the OAV – German Asia-Pacific Business Association and GINSEP will address these matters and hopefully provide answers.
