Founder & CEO, Citizengage
Pronita specialises in creating markets for disruptive technology and is thrilled to be part of the GINSEP network to enable entrepreneurs who can increase the sustainability of our cities, brands, and broader eco-systems. As founder and CEO of Citizengage, Pronita drafted new policies and standards related to smarter waste management systems and worked with Citizengage’s first customers to build a Waste-to-Resource platform. She was Co-Founder and built citizen-side products while leading business development at India’s first civic tech startup, NextDrop, and was employee #1 at a manufacturing efficiency startup at Techstars-Boston. Prior to entering the startup world, Pronita developed strategic operations at global demand response leader, EnerNOC, one of the world’s first cleantech startups to IPO that was recently acquired by Enven. After earning her degree in Economics at UC Berkeley, Pronita worked at MIT’s Poverty Action Lab in rural Bangladesh and contributed to several policy papers for the World Bank and IMF at the Center for Global Development in Washington, DC.
