With more than 30 years of experience in the IT industry, Carsten Hahn is an expert in digital business models especially for the upcoming Platform Business. Since 2001 he is working for the world largest business software company SAP SE in Walldorf in various management position in development. He was responsible for the first cloud application program at SAP and contributed to Cloud portfolio since 2004. Today he is Director in the New Business and Technology department.
In addition to his role at SAP he is professor for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of Applied Sciences in Karlsruhe, Germany. He founded the G-Lab, a living lab for new approach to accelerate the entrepreneurial mindset to students with the focus on midsized companies (the “German Mittelstand”) and Transnational Entrepreneurship.
He also founded new startups in the last years and supports the startups community with his expertise. For 4 years he is also lecturing on annual basis in the “Action Learning” program at MIT Sloan School of Management, Cambridge, USA.
